Nazeer Ahmed from Kagool Ltd will present Supply Chain Management

The way we manage our Supply Chains is changing all the time. Therefore the SAP systems that support these processes are also constantly subjected to change. With the availability of new versions of products and new technology, there is constant pressure on businesses to upgrade their IT applications.

However, there is much that can be achieved from the existing SAP investments through innovative ideas. There is also significant automation that can be derived from existing SAP systems in conjunction with new SAP products and other IT applications.

This session will walk you through how these creative solutions can help you overcome some of the Supply Chain challenges that businesses are facing.

Girish Kini from SAP will present Supply Chain in S/4HANA Cloud: From Just-in-Time to Just-in-Case

Join SAP S/4HANA Cloud solution advisor, Girish Kini, where he will demonstrate how quick and easy it is for planners to utilise latest innovations to solve their pressing supply chain challenges. In this hour-long session, you will gain insight into the current challenges in supply chain faced by companies and how SAP S/4HANA Cloud addresses these challenges.

The session will provide information on SAP S/4HANA Cloud capabilities and recent innovations that help execute best inventory planning strategies (i.e., From Just-in-Case to Just-in-Time). Use of multiple planning strategies and predictive capabilities to generate more accurate forecast/inventory plan will be showcased.

For more than 50 years, adopting lean supply chain principles and reducing inventory levels had been a holy grail for organisations to improve efficiency and reduce costs. However, recent global events have shown that supply chain disruptions are around every corner and organisations need to rethink their strategies constantly to improve resiliency and reduce risks. For example, as per the recent study conducted by SAP, 84% of UK businesses are planning to move on from ‘just in time’ supply chain model, which prioritised costs above all else when selecting suppliers, to a ‘just in case’ approach. The UK businesses are also exploring various other avenues to improve their supply chains, in particular adopting new technology and implementing new contingency measures. The key to success is how the companies can adapt to this new norm easily and strike a right balance between ‘just in time’ and ‘just in case’ inventory strategies.

This session will provide insight into how SAP solutions help organisation quickly adjust their supply chain strategies to the changing demand situations and balance the different approaches such as ‘just in time’ and ‘just in case.

The SIG spans the design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption using both traditional SAP Business Suite and S/4 HANA. SIG meetings are held a few per year, ideally they are hosted by member companies at their own premises, which can provide a free conference pass to members. Meetings are attended by a wide range of users from the Supply Chain community; from practitioners and implementation experts, to SAP support users and those simply curious as to what is available using the latest technologies. Meetings include a diverse and lively range of presentations ranging from current or upcoming developments in.
