SAP Sapphire 2024 – Things You May Have Missed

Published on

While there have already been a number of announcements coming from Sapphire – some of which we’ve covered in a previous blog – there a few key takeaways that may have flown under your radar. In this blog, we’ll highlight three initiatives that SAP has launched to help customers on their SAP journey.

10 Steps to S/4HANA bootcamp

As part of a series of bootcamps announced at Sapphire, SAP announced 10 Steps to S/4HANA. This initiative will give SAP customers some guidance and advice on what it takes to convert their current system to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition.

With this bootcamp, SAP aims to address several of the key questions that remain around the transition to S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition, including the steps organisations need to take in a system conversion, and how a system conversion differs from a technical upgrade.

This bootcamp will also shed light on working with external parties, including how to make the choice to include consultants in system conversions. It will also help organisations evaluate SAP Partners and their role within a system conversion, as well as how they can prepare their system for a conversion project. 10 Steps to Clean Core: A greater understanding of how Clean Core affects your business

Understanding how a Clean Core approach will affect different business functions is vital– especially with the level of customisation that exists across different industry verticals. With this bootcamp, SAP aims to provide greater clarity on how Clean Core principles affect business processes, extensibility, data, integrations, and wider operations.

10 Steps to Clean Core will give SAP customers access to live demonstrations of SAP tools – including Cloud ALM, Signavio, ABAP Cloud, and BTP. It will also expand customers’ understanding of why Clean Core matters for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition implementation and the potential benefits that can be reaped from it.

If you’re interested in finding out more about this bootcamp, look out for our upcoming SUGTalks podcast on August 21 which discusses Clean Core in more detail.

Improving and defining User Experience (UX) with 5 Steps to Fiori

Another announcement from Sapphire SAP’s free bootcamp: 5 Steps to Fiori. This will help SAP customers define their UX adoption strategy, as well as giving practical hands-on skills in activities, technologies, and tools to smoothen the adoption of SAP Fiori UX.

As part of this bootcamp, SAP is offering a free guided end-to-end implementation of SAP Fiori in SAP S/4HANA, as well as wider support across the three-week workshop. To find out more information click here.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on these initiatives and other areas where you think SAP can help users. Feel free to get in touch with the team and share your feedback and ideas: https://www.sapusers.org/contact
