User Experience

Wednesday 21st June 2023 - 9:30am - 3:00pm

THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE IN PERSON

User Experience is a big topic in the SAP world these days, and will continue to be as we all journey into the world of S4 and Fiori, and as new interface technologies (like voice and conversational UIs) emerge over the next few years. The UX SIG was set up in 2014 to discuss all aspects of the user experience of SAP software. This includes the technical and architectural aspects of SAP's UI technologies (UI5, Personas, Fiori, NWBC, Portal, CoPilot etc.) and also the softer aspects of UX (business process analysis, design thinking, etc.)

This event will focus primarily on the SAP entry point experience, with customer sessions from Shoosmiths and the University of Warwick about their different Fiori Launchpad projects and a session from SAP about SAP Build Workzone - the cloud-based solution for accessing applications, processes and information.

Grant Robinson from Brakes Bros and the Bluestonex team, Vikash Kumar and Dave Williams will explain the journey of Brakes process automation using Maextro (Bluestonex Partner IP) and the use of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).

Brakes challenge was taking their existing processes on ECC EHP 4 and creating a better user experience for outbound logistics and warehouse operatives. Design Thinking methodology was used to create the solution using an accelerator IP from Bluestonex (Maextro) coupled with their vast knowledge of user experience to ensure the process was governed and users experience was improved

The drivers behind the project were efficiency and colleague experience. The results have exceeded the business case and now all warehouses across Brakes distribution centers have adopted Maextro for their days and nights operations.

Brakes now also use BTP applications (Bluestonex BTP Monitoring Suite) for monitoring user adoption and new ways to onboard and manage users across warehouses.

This session will address and breakdown the myths of process automation and BTP for complex back end SAP transactions.

From this session you will:

  • Get quick wins from Process Automation taking complex processes and the steps involved
  • Understand BTP and various options when considering solutions
  • Drive value from technology and user experience

As this is a Partner sponsored event, there may be some restriction on which members can attend. This means that even if your initial booking is accepted, we may contact you to cancel your booking.
