THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ONLINE VIA ZOOM
The Document and Data Management SIG aims to provide an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with fellow users and provide insight into SAP's future strategy and direction for Document and Data Management.
This event will be focusing on Data Ownership to discuss over topics of:
Archiving data in the cloud can be a cost-effective solution when compared to storing and maintaining large amounts data on-premises. Using the cloud alleviates the need for buying and upgrading on-premises hardware systems to manage and store data that you do not need regular access to but do need to retain for compliance reasons. It also offers flexibility to scale-up or scale-down storage as necessary and offers the added bonus of security offered by cloud providers.
SNP group had previously used the SAP Content Server to archive documents in their legacy system. This was perfectly sufficient for the existing data volume and the on-premises environment used. However, in their new SAP S/4HANA cloud environment, they needed a modern and lean solution that would meet their current requirements.
They opted for cost-effective and easy-to-extend Microsoft Azure cloud storage with high availability and security standards in a compliant storage location. Hear from Dr Klaus Zimmer, how SNP Group successfully and compliantly migrated existing documents to their new archive repository on Microsoft Azure as part of their "Rise with SAP" program. The successful integration of this project provides the basis for several digitalization measures that SNP Group will implement in the coming months. In the process, numerous manual and time-consuming processes will be converted to digital workflows by integrating a secure and compliant archiving system.
