The Maintenance and Service Management SIG aims to provide an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with fellow users and provide insight into SAP's future strategy and direction for Maintenance Management (PM / SM / CS Modules / Asset Management).

The event will be around the topic of Mass Data Load which speakers from SAP and different enterprises will be sharing their thoughts and experiences. Our discussion will include current solutions for Mass Data Load offered by SAP and the older ABAP solutions for data loads.

David Pugh from SAP will be delivering a session including an overview of SAP Master Data Governance including the Enterprise Asset Management Module and the capabilities it brings about the creation and maintenance of master data.

The first session, Alstom’s Use of SAP for Mass Loads, presented by Mike Aggrey from Alstom will be discussing how he uses SAP’s inbuilt abilities to customise mass loads of data for master data and how Alstom has created pre-defined templates for the loading templates for transactional data such as Maintenance Plans and Measuring Point readings.

Duncan Hicks has been within a team responsible for improving the use of business systems within ALSTOM Engineering and Services Limited Business and is now responsible for developing, managing and sustainment of reporting, data visualisation and business systems.

Richard Wilkins who works at Mars. Richard is a Chartered Engineer with a background in the consumer products industry. He has held Maintenance Management and IT management roles at Gillette and Mars, where he is currently an SAP template owner.
