This SIG will begin with an informal coffee session.

Jackie Mackie from Amey and Chris Scott from Arch will present How Amey uses Arch’s SAP UX products to deliver easier custom processes.

In this session they will:

• Discuss the various custom solutions delivered by Amey, in Finance, HR and Logistics processes.
• Demonstrate the new Professional Development Review app, walking through various key features designed in collaboration with the Amey HR team.
• Explain how Amey works with Arch as a key partner to deliver new functionality, working alongside Amey's in-house SAP team to deliver new business processes and transform existing processes.
• Talk about future plans as Amey start to prepare for an S/4HANA upgrade.
• Introduce Arch's software components in use at Amey, Stelo and Floe, demonstrating the functionality available in the latest releases.

Shabeer Jameela from SAP will present SAP Launchpad service and SAP Mobile Start - entry point to the Intelligent Enterprise.

SAP Mobile Start is the native entry point for SAP’s business applications and content and can be downloaded for free from Apple App Store (android version is expected in Q2 2022). It leverages the following:

• core SAP Business Technology Platform services like SAP Launchpad service, Notifications, SAP task Center and Mobile Services to launch native applications, web responsive applications, news feeds, or web links.
• SAP Task Center enables integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fieldglass and SAP SuccessFactors to provide all assigned workflows tasks in one place; other SAP LoB solutions will be covered in future.
• native capabilities such as notifications, widgets, search etc to offer a deep integration with the User Experience provided by mobile devices

The session will include a demo of the app and details of online resources that are available to help you set up the app yourself in a productive landscape.

User Experience is a big topic in the SAP world these days, and will continue to be as we all journey into the world of S4 and Fiori, and as new interface technologies (like voice and conversational UIs) emerge over the next few years. The UX SIG was set up in 2014 to discuss all aspects of the user experience of SAP software. This includes the technical and architectural aspects of SAP's UI technologies (UI5, Personas, Fiori, NWBC, Portal, CoPilot etc.) and also the softer aspects of UX (business process analysis, design thinking, etc.)
