The SAP Financial Excellence User Group aims to provide an opportunity for SAP Financial and IT users who use and support Finance and BPC modules. This is an opportunity to get connected and share our experiences, best practices and knowledge gained. It provides an open, collaborative forum for the networking, learning and discussions /exchange of ideas around Finance and BPC modules.

Suraj Shah from SAP will present Modern & Connected Enterprise Planning, Streamlined Profitability Analysis and Financial Consolidation.

As organisations embark on the finance transformation journey, Enterprise Planning - often known as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is often left out and therefore relying on legacy solutions or manual processes in spreadsheets even though finance budgeting, planning and forecasting remains a core process to enable strategic decision making. The first part of this session will cover how you can modernize and streamline your FP&A processes and you will be introduced to the concept of Extended Planning (XP&A).

The second part of the session will focus on the innovation in SAP S/4HANA around Profitability & Margin Analysis. This will be followed by an overview of the financial close process in SAP S/4HANA and the financial consolidation solution area. This section will provide an overview of SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting together with the powerful new features that make this an industry leading consolidation solution.

James Rothwell from EY will present Future of Finance with SAP Analytics Cloud.

Introduction to SAP Analytics Cloud for planning with an emphasis on how the product has evolved over the last couple of years. We’ll talk through use cases and examples of how we at EY have transformed the FP&A function with our clients using SAC for planning. This will be followed by a “live” demo showcasing key features of SAC whilst concentrating on simplicity and ease of use.
