Security (ACS)

Thursday 17th March 2022 - 9:00am - 2:30pm

Dunelm Group plc, Leicestershire

Event has expired or booking no longer available.

THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT DUNELM'S WATERMEAD BUSINESS PARK

Our Audit, Control and Security (ACS) SIG is a well-supported group attended by a cross-section of professionals working with SAP and representing the following business areas: IT Security; (including SAP Basis experts) IT & Financial Audit; and Risk Management.

Costa Petrosellini from Dunelm will give a Welcome intro at Dunelm Soft Furnishings Ltd. This session will include a brief session on Dunelm business, purpose, brands and history.

SAP will be presenting the following topics:

  • Access - One of the key challenges faced by organisations is effective segregation of duties controls. In this session we will explore how SAP technology enables organisations to extend their S.o.D controls across the SAP landscape.
  • Visibility and logging - Many organisations hold critical information and control the access to the data via user roles. This can still offer too much access to certain users but being able to mask key data fields within the SAP user interface ensures critical data remains hidden. This session will focus on the SAP assets delivering data obfuscation and logging who has viewed certain data.
  • Data protection - Many of SAP’s clients are moving their data into cloud hosted environments, establishing effective governance over the data residing in a hyperscaler hosting is important. This session will identify the capabilities SAP have built to offer organisations insight and data protection for multi-cloud environments.

Grey Monarch will present How are you protected from the 4 biggest threats and risks to your SAP systems and your business?

In this holistic and eye-opening session they want to discuss ‘Total SAP Security’ which means exploring the question of ‘exactly how vulnerable are our SAP systems’? ‘What more can we do to protect our SAP applications, our SAP users and our SAP data from the increasing risk of exploitation and attack?’

Their panel of expert speakers will discuss a holistic approach to SAP security that includes the importance of vulnerability scanning and speed of remediation, access governance audit control and compliance, dynamic data masking and blocking, and real-time ‘undesirable activity’ prevention, regardless of access rights.

Brian Froom, your ACS SIG Co-Chair and Information Security Manager TSE from Tata Steel will provide an update from his attendance at the Meet the Developers, where he will have met and had discussions with the SAP Experts.
