The BPC SIG links closely to the Financial Excellence SIG to provide an opportunity for SAP Financial and IT users who use and support Finance and BPC modules. This is an chance to get connected and share your experiences, best practices and knowledge gained. It provides an open, collaborative forum for the networking, learning and discussions /exchange of ideas around Finance and BPC modules.

Philip Jong & Emiliyan Tanev from Decision Inc UK will present Intelligent Planning using SAC & BPC.

Finance and business teams aspire to operate in an efficient, logical way where tools and processes work together to help create & realise strategic plans. Despite these good intentions, the reality is that organisations often struggle to run an effective, cohesive planning process and still rely on disparate, excel-based processes for the creation and management of information. Marrying strategic, group-wide target setting, with detailed forecasting and budgeting becomes particularly challenging and manually intensive with long lead times. Dean Cheeseman from SAP will Explore the SAP strategic direction for planning and consolidation, and how this can compliment your existing BPC deployment.

In this session Dean will explore the SAP strategic direction in the area of Planning and Consolidation.Explore how you can compliment your existing BPC solution with SAP Analytics Cloud to take advantage of a modern analytics solution that incorporates visualisation and ML capabilities. Dean will discuss a number of case studies where customers have already gained benefit from extending BPC with SAP Analytics Cloud.

Caroline Shirley has over 11 years of SAP experience, underpinned by a postgraduate MSC from University of Westminster, Caroline is currently leading a team of FICO & SRM consultants at Surrey County Council. She is a hands on team leader, who is at the same time involved in the strategic thinking of where the team should go and what they should be focusing on.

Paul Huston worked in a number Finance roles over a period of 17 years before switching to a career in IT. Paul has spent 10 years working as an IT Business Analyst largely supporting Finance teams using SAP ECC, SAP BPC, and SAP BW at Princes. Paul currently works as an IT Delivery Manager responsible for the successful delivery of business change and system developments in the Finance, Commercial and HR functions. Paul has spent the past 15 years working for UK food manufacturing companies.
