Our Maintenance and Service Management SIG aims to provide an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with fellow users and provide an insight into SAP's future strategy and direction for Maintenance Management (PM / SM / CS Modules / Asset Management).

Resource availability, utilisation and mobile working is more important than ever before. Hear the latest SAP strategy for scheduling and mobile across maintenance and service management scenarios.

David Olney & Dave Price-Cooper from Uniper Energy will be sharing their mobile apps implementation experience. They have nearly finished rolling out quite a lot of functionality for the production teams at their power generation sites. Three mobile apps have been developed and much more to support the use of these, their session includes the following for the Production departments:

• Mobile app for carrying out Production Routines
• Mobile app for raising Corrective Notifications
  • Includes Barcode, OCR scanning of plant labels
• Mobile app for WCM isolations (may not be able to demo easily due to development for Germany fleet only)
• Shared managed handsets
  • App multi-user sign in
  • No personalisation
  • Remote management of device including updates
• Use of SAP Business Client to keep SAP simple for Production Teams
• SAP Shift Notes
  • Shift event logging and handover

They have implemented this solution successfully for Tetra Pak, Volkswagen, Clariant and some of their customers will be sharing their experiences online during the SIG.

Since 2011, Duncan Hicks has been within a team responsible for improving the use of business systems within Bombardier’s UK Services Business and is now responsible for developing, managing and sustainment of reporting, data visualisation and business systems.

Richard Wilkins who works at Mars. Richard is a Chartered Engineer with a background in the consumer products industry. He has held Maintenance Management and IT management roles at Gillette and Mars, where he is currently an SAP template owner.
