Our S/4HANA SIG is the platform for SAP customers and partners to collaborate, network and share their technical and business experience and expertise on S/4HANA.

Hear from Manoj Narang from Invenio & Stephen Jamieson, Global Head of Circular Economy Solutions At SAP:

The value of SAP S/4 HANA for companies has many dimensions. Normally the primary goal concerns increasing revenues, reducing costs or improvements on return of investments. The value of SAP S/4HANA on sustainability is however sometimes often overlooked.

While consumers are shifting to more sustainable products and services, investors are also looking for glowing green credentials. A good proactive green reputation will also be a pre-requisite to attract and keep proud and talented employees. Therefore, increasing sustainability credentials should be high on the CEO agenda, but exactly how can S/4HANA help in providing a greener reputation?

Key areas where S/4HANA can help improve your green credentials:

1. SAP Product Carbon Footprint Analytics: The aim of the application is to calculate the CO2e emissions for a single product. The application takes data from SAP S/4HANA and third-party sources to analyses it within SAP Analytics Cloud. Dynamic and real-time insight on carbon data enables companies to assemble relevant information regarding CO2e footprint and holistically understands the sources of CO2e footprints.

2. SAP S/4HANA Sustainability API’s: An important part of the data for SAP Product Carbon Footprint Analytics is provided by standard SAP S/4HANA OData application programming interfaces (API’s). The starting point for computing the CO2e emissions is the actual raw materials used in the product (based on the S/4HANA Bill of Materials) and the production steps (based on the S/4HANA Routings/Recipes).

SAP S/4HANA gives you the quantifiable results to build a more transparent sustainable business which in turn will give your customers, investors and employees confidence in your reputation.

Guy Spaven from SAP will be speaking about the Valuable capabilities of S/4HANA, these can sometimes get overlooked when focusing on the big ticket items. This session takes a look at some of the lesser known features that can provide great insights and enhancements to any SAP landscape.

The event will also include an S4 Journey Check in roundtable:

Join other UKISUG members to discuss your plans for S4, where you are in your journey and some of the challenges you face or have overcome. This will be an open discussion so that we can share experiences, find out more about the common challenges and also identify hot topics that will help us to build an agenda for Connect that addresses what users really want to hear about.

Your UKISUG S/4HANA SIG Chairs:

Emma Chambers is the Chair of the Change Control Board which governs the development and strategic business roadmap of the ERP at NATS. Her focus is on innovation, modernising user experience and ensuring the ERP is transforming and adapting to the challenges of the future.
