Mobility Drives E-Commerce Efficiency

A market-leading watch retailer has turned to us to implement a new mobility solution, to integrate with SAP Inventory Management (IM) and Warehouse Management (WM), within its UK warehouse. The Midlands-based logistics facility handles the fulfilment of e-commerce orders, in addition to the replenishment of store stock, along with the goods returns from both of these channels.

Currently, all warehouse processes are paper-based, with some product verification taking place at fixed scanning stations. The challenges facing the retailer include inaccurate stock levels and locations, a time lag in stock being visible within the SAP system, poor stock traceability, along with an inefficient use of space in the warehouse.

The new project will see us deploy a range of mobile applications to manage the inbound receipt, inbound putaway, physical inventory, internal warehouse processing and outbound store replenishment picking processes within the warehouse. With the aim of realising benefits to enhance its e-commerce platform quickly, our out-of-the-box apps will be installed, configured, tested and available for UAT within a matter of weeks.

We will undertake an end-to-end implementation including the blueprint, application build and test, installation and knowledge transfer of the app screen flow and functionality for end users, along with providing all user and configuration guides. With our team providing customer support at every stage of the project, we will provide full go-live and early life support, followed by ongoing application support once the apps are in operation.
