London, UK — February 1st 2024 Leading SAP® Partner NTT DATA Business Solutions, is proud to announce the planting of 14,596 trees in Nepal for the FY23 Q3 donation of its “One Day One Tree” sustainability initiative which sees the company plant a tree for every Consulting and SAP Managed Services day it delivers each quarter.
Andy Steer, Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, and Chair of the Sustainability Board at NTT DATA Business Solutions UK&I comments: “Nepal, facing the harsh consequences of environmental degradation, serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for action. In a country where communities are intricately linked to their natural surroundings, and with less than 30% of original forests remaining, the impact on both people and wildlife is profound. Our tree planting project, conducted in collaboration with local communities, seeks to restore and rejuvenate the ecosystem by introducing a diverse range of species such as oaks, rhododendrons, and bamboo. At NTT DATA Business Solutions, we believe in not just doing business, but doing good. Through this initiative, we aim not only to offset our carbon footprint but to contribute positively to the communities we serve and the planet we share.”
With this latest contribution, NTT DATA Business Solutions has now planted over 100,000 trees through the ‘One Day One Tree’ sustainability initiative, which was launched in 2022.
