Building a New Home for SAP EWM

Published on

The retailer is set to establish a furniture hub in a new warehouse, which is still under construction, and required a supplier with specialist EWM skills for a greenfield site implementation.

Following a series of workshops and playback sessions between our team of expert SAP EWM consultants and the retailer, we were able to pinpoint the exact requirements of the business for its new site. In addition to building core warehouse processes included as standard with SAP EWM, the team will be developing additional web order processing capabilities, enhanced to allow for Fleet API delivery processing.

The project will see our team design, build, test and configure an end-to-end EWM solution on SAP ECC 6 for the greenfield site, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the solution is tailored specifically to the customers’ needs.

Furthermore, as part of delivering on requirements, we will be working closely with the furniture retailers’ internal team, carrying out key user training to ‘train the trainer’, ensuring a smooth transfer of EWM knowledge throughout the business, with all operators up and running as quickly as possible. As part of our service, we will also be providing go-live and early life support for the EWM solution.

Commenting on our newest win, our Head of Sales, Paul Fraser, said: “Delivering a new warehouse build is a very exciting opportunity for us to showcase our SAP EWM expertise, building on a strong history of successful EWM implementations.”

“Through our previous experiences with the retailer, we have developed an excellent understanding of the business. We have also been able to demonstrate our ability to fully deliver on project requirements, and to seamlessly integrate the elements required through successful collaboration with multiple stakeholders.”
