SAP Enters into Agreement to Acquire WalkMe
SAP SE announced its acquisition of WalkMe Ltd., a leader in digital adoption platforms (DAPs).
WalkMe's advanced guidance and automation solutions help organisations seamlessly navigate and adopt new technologies, driving higher application adoption and value realization. This acquisition aligns with SAP’s strategy to enhance its Business Transformation Management portfolio, including SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX solutions, further supporting customers on their transformation journeys.
Christian Klein, CEO of SAP, emphasised the importance of applications, processes, data, and people in business transformation, stating that the acquisition will enhance SAP's ability to support end users in maximising the value of their IT investments. Dan Adika, CEO of WalkMe, expressed excitement about the growth opportunities and market reach expansion that the partnership with SAP will bring.
WalkMe will continue to support non-SAP applications and is set to launch WalkMeX copilot, leveraging AI to optimize workflow completion. The integration with SAP’s copilot Joule will enhance productivity and AI capabilities for SAP customers.
