A Template Approach to SAP EWM

The project will see a team of SAP EWM specialists design and build an EWM solution to manage the warehouse processes within a 3PL managed customer warehouse in Europe, which operates a conveyor, with ground and rack storage locations.

The new solution is required to manage the entire warehouse journey from inbound deliveries through to storage, stock movements and replenishment, kitting and assembly, packaging, inventory administration and outbound deliveries.

Our team of consultants will deliver an end-to-end solution from design and blueprint, through to build, including 3PL integrations, data migration and consideration of future local requirements, through to testing, training, deployment, in addition to supporting the business with change management.

A key factor for the customer, is having a template that can be easily rolled out to other locations across different countries, as our Head of Sales, Paul Fraser, explains “This is an exciting project, which will see our SAP EWM expertise being utilised to design a full end-to-end EWM implementation.

“It is important for the customer that they are provided with a template that can be easily deployed in other locations, with minimal time and resource, but with the flexibility to cater for specific local requirements of the additional 3PLs. We were able to demonstrate not only our experience of designing templates for global roll outs, but also the collaborative way in which we work with customers and partners, which was well received by the customer team.”
