Knowledge sharing and speaking

If you have a story you would like to share, either as part of your organisation or with a Partner, be sure to get involved. Members always love to hear other member stories; even when you think that others may not be interested in it, you will be surprised how many other individuals and organisations are or have been in the same boat as you and that you could be helping to navigate the world of SAP.

Don’t blend in with the crowd, stand up and be heard; it will help to increase your visibility within the SAP community and boost your networking capabilities, as other members will want to speak to you about your experiences. Our team will be happy to help you pull together a presentation and assist in any way they can to make your life as easy as possible.

As a thank you for speaking at one of our events, you will have the opportunity to attend a free speaker training workshop to help build your personal profile and increase your confidence in public speaking. You will also be invited to attend our annual conference free of charge!

Hosting

Hosting provides many benefits to you and your organisation. We will help you organise everything you need and in return for hosting, you will receive one free conference pass to UKISUG Connect. As well as not having to pay to travel to the event, other benefits of hosting include having more of your colleagues attending the event and being able to influence the agenda.

Hosted events attract more members and you could use the opportunity to showcase your offices or factory for a quick tour. This is always a good driver to increase networking, engagement and collaboration with other members.

Hosting the HERSIG was as simple as booking a room and arranging catering, the User Group took care of the rest

Become a part of a Community Committee

Do you benefit widely from attending one of our Focus Groups and want to help others to do so? Our Focus Groups help organisations relate with one another on their SAP journeys and experiences completely independently of SAP. The User Group works closely with a group of voluntary individuals with common interests, known as the Community Committee, to ensure that each Focus Group is of value to our members.

Becoming a member of the Community Committee can benefit you from both a personal development perspective and a career perspective. You can also get a much better insight into what is happening outside of your organisation as an increasingly active User Group member. It is not a huge commitment and generally involves a call with the User Group team and Community Chairs to talk about ideas for the Focus Group. You can agree what you would like to discuss, what topics you would like covered and help decide on event locations.

It doesn't matter what industry you come from, or how experienced you are, becoming a member of the Community Committee adds value to your SAP journey.
