​Mike has been involved with ISACA for over 25 years at both the local and international level. Mike currently is the Immediate Past President of the Central UK Chapter and chairs the UK & Ireland .......

Chapter Leaders group. Mike’s international involvement has included serving on the Membership Board and Finance Committee. He was also a Subject Matter Expert (SME) reviewer for COBIT 5.0, workshop participant for the development of COBIT for Risk and a member of the Risk Scenarios for COBIT for Risk development Taskforce. Mike was also an SME reviewer for the CRISC self-study manual.

Mike’s day job is a Principal Director with HWgrc, the specialist IT governance, risk management and compliance arm of Haines Watts, a Top15 business advisory firm. Mike has over 35 years IT and IT governance, risk and compliance experience, including 10 years in mainstream IT in operations, system implementation and technical support. Mike’s career has included 20 years with KPMG, in a number of senior roles, including leading KPMG’s Midlands Governance & Compliance practice and being the UK Service Line Leader for IT External Audit.
