How ENGIE UK Shared Service Centre has adopted Winshuttle to fundamentally improve the management of its employees’ data in SAP

Payroll

11:00 - 11:45

As ENGIE UK geared up for a re-organisation and re-branding exercise at the end of 2015, the role of the Shared Service Centre to effectively manage key back office functions became a critical part of the company’s success.

Based in Newcastle, the SSC has responsibility for data management in the HR and Finance space and needed to become much more effective in the use of SAP to match the speed of growth and rate of change in the rapidly evolving organisation. The necessity to free up resource for essential value add activities and the demand for increasing the HR Administration team’s scope of work to support the business meant that further automation of processes and systems has become vital.

This session discusses the journey from evaluation to implementation in our HR Administration team. We share the challenges we faced and successes we achieved on our way to realising 140 man-days of benefits in the first 4 months, including automating our payroll process for weekly paid employees. The project success has allowed us to plan further utilisation and rollout across other SSC workstreams.
