Financial Services
The SAP Financial Excellence User Group aims to provide an opportunity for SAP Financial and IT users who use and support Finance and BPC modules. This is an opportunity to get connected and share our experiences, best practices and knowledge gained. It provides an open, collaborative forum for networking, learning and discussions /exchange of ideas around Finance and BPC modules.
Higher Education & Research
The group exists as a forum for members to share their common interests and to foster collaboration across the sector. Members have a broad interest across the whole SAP landscape as well as more specialist HE&R products. We see Communities as an opportunity to network, collaborate and share experiences and look for opportunities to work together. We have common interests and are able to work with our partners and SAP on sector-wide initiatives. Recently the Higher Eduction & Research Focus Group has organised showcases for SuccessFactors and S/4 with a focus on their use in Higher Education. Looking forward we want to ensure we maximise our cross-institutional links to understand everything SAP offers the sector, create a support and learning network between institutions and understand.

Real Estate
The Real Estate Focus Group offers a platform where current and prospective SAP REFX users convene to delve into innovations in Contract, Lease and Real Estate Management. This encompasses discussions on Cloud for Real Estate and Intelligent Real Estate solutions.
Retail
We offer a platform for discussions and idea exchange on SAP for Retail and core modules, along with Consumer Packaged Goods. Members enhance their SAP knowledge through shared experiences. As a 'vertical' Focus Group, our agendas span diverse topics proposed by members, covering not only SAP but also other retail solutions and challenges.
Utilities
The utilities sector comprises businesses supplying electricity, natural gas, water, sewage and related services to residential and commercial properties. Collaboration within this sector is essential for tackling common challenges and exploring pathways toward greater sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Community Chairs
Claire Trew
Claire has over 20 years of experience in the affordable housing sector, working in a range of roles from front-line housing officer to her current role as Lead Functional Architect. She has been working with SAP since 2014, initially as part of a project team at Sanctuary Housing which delivered the first wide-scale implementation of SAP in the sector. Claire currently works in Sanctuary’s internal SAP team, working on a range of projects to deliver change and helping to ensure that the business can continue to develop and grow. Claire has been an active member of the user group since 2015 and has been chair of the Real Estate Focus Group for the past four years.
Leighton Joskey
Leighton has been an IT professional for over 20 years, in a career that has taken in database and application design, development, maintenance and support, customer relationship management, process improvement, IT strategy, team management and more. Leighton has moved on a long way from his COBOL, CICS and DB/2 origins - he is now the Head of SAP and Finance systems at the University of Warwick, working with his team to deliver a robust SAP service and extending and improving the many benefits SAP delivers to the University.
Michael Gent
Michael has over 25 years retailing experience and over 22 years implementing and managing SAP solutions in multiple retailers. Within this time he has been involved with many full lifecycle implementations, SAP upgrades and strategic retail & logistics projects. Michael Currently manages the SAP solutions at Pets at Home.
